A Satanic "Market" for Consecrated Hosts
The Catholic News Agency has reported (July 15,
2004) that the alarming growth of Satanism in Italy has
created a market for the sale of consecrated Hosts. Fr.
Aldo Buonaiuto, director of an emergency help line which
assists young people who want to leave satanic cults, explained that "a proliferation of cults exists which practice
black masses, with the profanation of consecrated hosts,
rape and torture." As a result, says Fr. Buonaiuto, a "true
market" for consecrated Hosts exists in Italy. The Hosts
sell for 80-500 euros (approx. $100 to over $600), depending upon the size of the Host, the prominence of the
Church from which they were stolen and the priest who
consecrated them, the highest prices being paid for Hosts
consecrated in Roman churches, particularly those closest to the Vatican. The Hosts, which are stolen either directly from Tabernacles or during the distribution of Holy
Communion, are sometimes profaned during rituals led
by LSD or cocaine addled ex-priests who have dedicated
themselves to the service of Satan. Fr. Buonaiuto attributed the proliferation of Satanic cults to "the loss of the
sense of the sacred," as a result of which "Man needs to
fill himself with something, and today the market is full
of superficial alternatives, among them, Satanism."
Comment: In the early 1960's, I was attending a
Catholic grammar school and, one Sunday, I arrived late
for Mass. One of the nuns sat me down with an older
class. At that point, I had not yet received my First Holy
Communion, but, not knowing what to do when the older
children got up for Communion, I followed them to the
altar rail, received Communion, and went back to sit
down. When the nun realized what had happened, she
came and sat next to me on the pew and literally
"coached " me on how to receive the Sacrament. She told
me, in very serious tones, not to worry, not to chew the
Host, etc. Fast forward 30 years to the early 1990's. I'm
sitting at my friend's kitchen table listening to a woman
relate, in a horrified voice, what she had just witnessed
at her parish church. Two young boys had received Communion. When they got back to their seats, they began
chewing and spitting out the Host! Compare my experience with that of the woman sitting at my friend's table.
What sort of "instruction " in the Catholic Faith can these
unfortunate boys have possibly received?
We have all read the reports of people having to scour
the fields after outdoor papal Masses, in order to pick up
the Hosts that had been dropped and trampled into the
dirt. We have all seen people at Novus Ordo Masses grabbing Hosts and popping them in their mouths as though
count the destructive practice of Communion in the hand
among the causes of the "loss of the sense of the sacred. "
The Blessed Sacrament used to be a thing of awe to main- ****
they were crackers. (missing text) One wonders if Fr. Bounaiuto would
stream Catholics. Today, it's really "no big deal. "
In addition to destroying belief in and respect for the
Real Presence, the practice of Communion in the hand
has contributed to the ease with which Satanists can obtain Hosts. The liturgical innovators, and the priests who
follow their lead, have (whether unwittingly or not) made
it ridiculously easy to steal consecrated Hosts. One need
only stand on line, hold out his hands, and walk away
with a Host that he can sell for hundreds of dollars to
cultists who are ready and eager to commit sacrilege upon it.
Traditional respect for the reception of Holy Communion
would go far in staving off such occurrences. But, unfortunately, even practical considerations, let alone "theological " ones, seem to be of little import to our shepherds.
Here is more proof that the very survival of the Church
depends upon a return to the Traditional Latin Mass and
the doctrines which it has safeguarded for two-thousand years.
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power: proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching. For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths. But you, be self-possessed in all circumstances; put up with hardship; perform the work of an evangelist; fulfill your ministry. [ 2 Tim. 4:1-8 ]
It should be kept in mind that failure to do good, when the opportunity is presented, warrants everlasting punishment. Omission of good has the same ultimate effect as commission of evil.
Sins of Omission can be More Insidious than Sins of Commission.
