Rosary Reflections

Meditation Thoughts for Each of the 15 Mystery's

Questions to ask oneself:

  1. Do you have a goal for something beyond this life?
  2. If so does that goal have as its foundation a sincere faith in God?
  3. Is the primacy of the commandment to love God with one's whole heart mind body and soul relevant to your life?
  4. Is the full material presence of Jesus in the holy Eucharist real to you?
Mysteries of the Rosary with Meditations

THE JOYFUL MYSTERIES
(Said on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays from the First Sunday of Advent until Lent.)
Annunciation to Mary by the angel Gabriel - Jesus takes on human form (Incarnation).
The Divine nature of Jesus enters a human body at the instant of conception.  Mary is to become the mother of the Son of God.
In the Gospels Jesus is referred to either as the Son of God or as the Son of man.  He was referred to as the Son of man twice as often as he was referred to as the Son of God.  He may also be referred to as Messiah, Lord, King, and Savior.  As one-third of the Trinity He has a Divine nature.
When the term God is used by itself it refers to God the Father or Yahweh. Never was Jesus himself referred to as God. Nor was the Holy Ghost ever referred to as God though He also has a Divine nature.
The usage of the term God in the singular form always referred to God the Father. In the collective form it refers to the holy Trinity, three persons (separate individuals acting in harmony) in one God. The collective usage of the term God is valid since if any one of the three persons of the holy Trinity was nonexistent, we would not exist.
Anyone who rejects the teachings of sacred Scripture should not consider himself a Christian. No one except Jesus Himself has the authority to diminish, reverse, or reject any teaching of Sacred Scripture from the first verse of Genesis to the last verse of the Apocalypse (Revelation).  Jesus did change the form of priesthood and the types of sacrifices to be offered; He removed restrictions on unclean foods; the concept of personal vendetta was removed, civil law was to have jurisdiction regarding punishments, including executions.
      1. Jn. 19:10-11  So Pilate said to him, "Do you not speak to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you and I have power to crucify you?"  Jesus answered (him), "You would have no power over me if it had not been given to you from above. For this reason the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin."
      2. Act. 25:11  If I have committed a crime or done anything deserving death I do not seek to escape the death penalty; but if there is no substance to the charges they are bringing against me then no one has the right to hand me over to them.
      3. Rom. 1:32  Although they know the just decree of God that all who practice such things deserve death they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
      4. 2Cor. 13:1  This third time I am coming to you. "On the testimony of two or three witnesses a fact shall be established."
      5. Heb. 10:28  Anyone who rejects the law of Moses is put to death without pity on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
      6. Rev. 21:8  But as for cowards the unfaithful the depraved murderers the unchaste sorcerers idol-worshipers and deceivers of every sort their lot is in the burning pool of fire and sulfur which is the second death."
Visitation of Mary - John the Baptist recognizes Jesus' presence.
When Mary visited Elizabeth, John, who was to be called the Baptist, recognizes Jesus and Mary's womb.  According to Jesus, John was a new embodiment of Elijah who had not yet died.  Jesus at this time had probably in the womb less than two or three weeks.  John had been in Elizabeth's womb for approximately six months.  Intelligent life begins at the instant of conception.
Mary would not consider the possibility of aborting Jesus.
Nativity (birth) of our Lord - Angels announce the arrival of the Redeemer
to humble shepherds faithful to their flocks.  (The humble see the Son of God; the proud do not.)
On the eighth day following Jesus' birth he was circumcised according to the law established as a covenant binding on mankind that was first given to Abraham, the man of faith, and has never been rescinded. The observance of this covenant, though not commonly practiced because of improper understanding, is still required.
Jesus came to bring completion to the law and salvation to believers. No part of the law was ever rejected by Jesus that concerned matters of faith and morals.
Most old testament laws were never diminished, reversed, or terminated by Jesus. Those that were terminated were primarily those related to sacrifice, the giving of offerings, and the form of priesthood. These and dietary restrictions were changed or terminated by Jesus during his public life.
Presentation of Jesus - The law of God is faithfully observed.
The presentation of Jesus at the temple took place 40 days following his birth. During this period of time it was God's moral law that spouses were not to have sexual intercourse. There are other times when sexual intercourse is also prohibited. During a woman's menstrual period and for seven days following cessation of all bleeding. On the eighth day a woman is to present an offering and then be declared clean. In other words she would then be free to again have sexual intercourse with her husband. This approximates the time when a woman enters her fertile period. This is illustrated in the passage concerning David and Bathsheba when she became pregnant by David on the day of her purification.
Sexual abstinence was to be observed during certain periods of time or events. These periods of abstinence are generally no longer observed but are still required according to the will of God.
Finding of Jesus in the temple - Jesus begins ministry
but is humbly obedient to His surrogate father and His mother (Mary made Jesus Son of man, His preferred reference to Himself that was made in the Gospels twice as often as the reference Son of God).  Jesus was of the same matter as found in other human beings.  We are made in the Image and Likeness of the Holy Trinity (Gen. 1:26-28) who are also body (recognizable existence), soul (identity and condition of being), and spirit (intellect capable of exercising free will).
At the age of twelve, when Jesus was fully qualified and both able and willing to begin his public ministry, he obeyed His parents due to the perception that he was too young to have wisdom.  He was obedient when they asked him to return home with them.  He then waited until he would be considered as being sufficiently developed with understanding, wisdom and life experience to begin his public ministry at about the age of 30.  (Recent science relates to this theme.)
THE SORROWFUL MYSTERIES
(Said on Tuesdays, Fridays and the Sundays of Lent.)
Agony in Garden - Jesus sweats blood in anticipation of suffering.
Scourging at Pillar - Our sins are felt with each stroke of the whip.
Crowning with Thorns - How many mock Jesus when they say
they love Him without showing sincerity through repentance and the practice of the corporal and spiritual works of mercy?
Carrying of the Cross - Unrepentant sins of multitudes make
the cross so heavy they drag Jesus to the ground three times.
Crucifixion and Death of Our Lord on the Cross -
Jesus' obedient death opens the gates of Heaven for those who truly love Him as shown through sincere repentance and required good works.
THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES
(Said on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Easter until Advent.)
Resurrection of Our Lord - On Easter Sunday, the Feast of First Fruits -
Lev. 23:9-21, Jesus first makes His return known to a now humble and vary sincerely repentant sinner who faithfully served Him according to the designed qualities given her by God.
On this day Jesus enters Heaven for the first time followed by all the faithful who previously died in the grace of God. Also this day Jesus gives authority to those ordained during the Last Supper, and to their moral successors, to teach in His name and to join the worthy works of the priesthood of the faithful with the offering made by Jesus that was consummated on Calvary the coming mid-afternoon during the high heat of the day.
By consecrating the bread and wine Jesus becomes materially present in His body and blood in union with His soul and Divine spirit. Jesus is completely present everywhere in either form of the Holy Eucharist. Jesus is not limited by time or form.
Ascension of Our Lord - How often Jesus came to earth
and returned to Heaven is not known.  On Ascension Thursday He ascended for the final time setting the pattern of hope for those who would believe in Him. A forty day time period relates to the frame of the four hundred years the offspring of Jacob spent in captivity before being set free; to the forty years they spent in the desert learning to accept there would be hardships associated with freedom to act on one's own initiative; and to the forty days Jesus spent fasting prior to being thoroughly tempted by Satan. Through these events we learn that good things eventually follow the bad.
Descent of the Holy Ghost upon the Apostles - Pentecost Sunday,
along with the feast of First Fruits, is prefigured in the Old Testament (Lev. 23:9-21) and lets us know that God knows well in advance of the earth shaking events that take place in the future of mankind.  This event marks the official opening of the true Christian Church now known as the Catholic Church.
The Church built upon the firm foundation of Peter will always exist, but there are not always moral successors to Peter. We are told to test the spirits (1 Jn. 4:1). There is no more important personage to test than the one who legally fills the office of Peter. It should be understood that non-moral priests of any rank do not have the authority to bring Jesus present in the Holy Eucharist nor does a non-moral pope (one who has given himself to serving demons for temporal reward) have the authority to make binding declarations on matters of faith and morals.
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven - The immaculately
conceived body of the mother of Jesus was incorruptible. She was taken body and soul into Heaven. Having never sinned (conceived without sin) she never died. Mary is always able to visit us when a worthy purpose is being served. Her three great known visitations to earth are Guadeloupe, Lourdes, and Fatima. These however are seen to be only a small number of times she has visited us giving advice and hope to people of faith.
Coronation of Our Lady as Queen of Heaven and Earth - Mary's legal husband
(surrogate/foster father of Jesus who satisfied the requirements of Jewish law) was Joseph of the house of David. She is the mother of the Son of God the Father. The term mother encompasses not only the concept of being the mother of one or more children, but also to being the care giver of a born child. She is truly Queen of Heaven and earth and it is great wisdom not to oppose her or speak ill of her.
Women have a great responsibility to God to bring forth His children (Gen. 1:28; 1 Tim. 2:15) who will be given equal opportunity to be high in Heaven regardless of any form of temporal limitation.
No man or woman has any more ability to have close association with God than another. Love of God, as Mary loved with her whole heart, mind, body and soul, is required before anyone enters Heaven.
It is Mortal Sin to Vote for those Favoring
or Practicing Deadly Offenses Against God

Those with knowledge beforehand that voting for those approving of grave evils against natural law commit mortal sin. Without due repentance voting for such persons will condemn one to Hell for all eternity.
Voting for someone approving of such crimes as pedophilia, sodomy, abortion and other actions of willful murder of innocent persons, or committing adultery makes one an accomplice in such acts. Primary consideration in regard to voting must always be given to spiritual values as temporal values (humanism) lead to damnation. It should be seen as being better to starve to death than to spend eternity in the eternal fires of Hell or to spend time in Purgatory, a place for disassociating with evil.
Mortal sin is also committed by voting for members of secret societies that generally have international ties such as Freemasons, Skull & Bones, Illuminati, B'nai B'rith, Bohemian Club, and related or similar organizations.
Such should be considered as satanic in origin and considered as promoters of worship of false gods. Members of these occult societies generally have membership in mainstream religions depending upon their location on the world. Most first world countries are controlled by them and other societies already have some form of satanic worship. WHAT OUR LADY OF FATIMA SAID ABOUT
  1. Fashions: "Certain fashions will be introduced that will offend my Son very much!" (Our Lady said this in 1917!).
  2. Hell: "More souls go to Hell because of sins of the flesh than for any other reason!" (Sins against the 6th Commandment – sins of impurity).
  3. Sinful Marriages: "Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord and are not of God."
  4. Punishment of the World: "The Blessed Mother can no longer restrain the hand of her Divine Son from striking the world with just punishment for its many crimes."
  5. Warnings: "If my requests are not heeded, Russia will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed!" (Remember, Our Lady told us this in 1917!)
  6. Amendment: "I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not continue to offend Our Lord who is already deeply offended."
  7. The Rosary: "Say the Rosary every day, to obtain peace for the world. Add after each decade the following prayer: 'O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of Hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Your mercy."'
  8. Prayer: "Pray, pray a great deal, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because they have no one to make sacrifices and pray for them."
  9. Immaculate Heart Devotion: "God wishes to establish in the world the devotion to my Immaculate Heart: If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace."
  10. World Peace: "Tell everybody that God gives graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Tell them to ask graces from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the Lord has confided the peace of the world to her."
  11. War. "War is a punishment from God for sins!"
  12. Final Peace: "In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace!"
  13. First Saturday Devotion: "I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of 5 consecutive months, shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite 5 decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for 15 minutes, while meditating on the 15 mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me."
  14. Sacrifice: Our Lord appeared to Lucy in 1943. He complained bitterly and sorrowfully that there are so few souls fulfilling Our Lady's requests, saying: "The sacrifice required of every person is the fulfillment of his duties in life and the observance of My laws! This is the penance I now seek and require!"
  15. St. Joseph: He was the only saint who appeared at Fatima besides Our Lady. St. Joseph held the Child Jesus in his arms and blessed the 70,000 people three times. It is he of whom it has been said: "The sound of victory will be heard when the faithful recognize the sanctity of St. Joseph."
The 15 Promises of Mary to Christians
Who Recite the Rosary

(Having been forgotten for more than 100 years previous, the Rosary was revived during the last quarter of the 15th century by Blessed Alan de la Roche and Dominic the Prussian. The Rosary spread throughout all Europe, and thousands in every walk of life enrolled in the Rosary Confraternities. Blessed Alan claimed that the revival of the Rosary was due to the Blessed Virgin Mary's appearing to him, bidding him to take up the work begun by the founder of Blessed Alan's own order, St. Dominic. The Blessed Mother gave Blessed Alan a list of 15 Promises of rewards from her for the faithful recitation of the Rosary. These promises follow:)
  1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.
  2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
  3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against Hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
  4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
  5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
  6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice; he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God and become worthy of eternal life.
  7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
  8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the saints in Paradise.
  9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
  10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.
  11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
  12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
  13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire Celestial Court during their life and at the hour of death.
  14. All who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
  15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
Rev. 21:8 But as for cowards, the unfaithful, the depraved, murderers,
the unchaste, sorcerers, idol-worshipers, and deceivers of every sort, their lot is in the burning pool of fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power:  proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching.  For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths.  But you, be self-possessed in all circumstances; put up with hardship; perform the work of an evangelist; fulfill your ministry.  [ 2 Tim. 4:1-8 ]

It should be kept in mind that failure to do good, when the opportunity is presented, warrants everlasting punishment.  Omission of good has the same ultimate effect as commission of evil.
Sins of Omission can be More Insidious than Sins of Commission.
